Nominated for the LABC award for best community building, the Park Lane, centre in Telford is a multi use community building designed to hold conferences, exhibitions and a medical centre.

In 2009, we were contacted by McPhillips in regards to the production of granite benches, kerbs and spheres for the outdoor areas.

The material specified by the designers was our Arctic Grey Flamed Granite.

Each sphere was 1m in height.

Our in house CAD technicians designed each segment of the benches and kerbs for our partner factory in China to produce.

Although we have our own quality control agents within the factory a team flew out part way through production to ensure that work was being carried out to specification.

The project was completed in 2011.
