Project Germany - Rockford Stone

Although the vast majority of our projects are in the UK, we have done a fair few in Europe. The owner of this private home in Germany, sourced their own materials.

The client contacted us initially to ask if we had a stone that could be used for both indoors, and outdoors and that could run seamlessly through both.
The client wanted to really bring the outdoors inside for that continuous space feel enhanced by the glass surrounds and therefore opted for a charcoal colour.
Initially opting for slate, the client decided it didn’t give the modern feel they were after.
We then offered the client our Java Black Basalt, which at the time was a very new product for us - now one of our best sellers.
Once the client had received the samples, they knew that this was the product they required.
The order was shipped to Germany taking several days to arrive in perfect condition.
The home was featured in a design magazine.
